During three months on the Procure-Hub-Org/procure-hub-be repository, Mirza Olovčić developed and enhanced core backend features supporting procurement workflows. He built a secure user registration system with input validation and bcrypt-based password storage, and delivered a bid proposal system with full lifecycle management, deadline enforcement, and audit logging. Mirza implemented real-time auction capabilities using Socket.IO and WebSockets, expanded analytics with new metrics and data integrity improvements, and optimized database queries for reliability. He also introduced a contract change request workflow with notification and email integration, leveraging JavaScript, Node.js, and Express.js to deliver maintainable, business-critical backend solutions.

During April 2025, Procure-Hub backend delivered pivotal onboarding and procurement workflow enhancements for the Procure-Hub-Be repository. Key features include a comprehensive User Registration System with input validation and secure password storage, enabling reliable end-user onboarding and authentication, and a Bid Proposal System supporting end-to-end bid lifecycles (create, update, submit, preview) with deadline enforcement, existence checks, and audit/admin logging to strengthen governance. Major stability and governance improvements were also completed: critical deadline handling fixes across bid update/submit flows and draft submissions; resolution of a merge conflict to stabilize the main branch; and addition of admin logs for bid operations, plus the removal of bid budget limits to increase bidding flexibility. These changes improve security, compliance, and operational efficiency in procurement workflows.
