Worked on the DrewThomasson/ebook2audiobook repository to streamline content ingestion by enabling support for uploading zipped EPUB packages. Leveraging Python for backend development, the solution normalized ZIP file structures and integrated ZIP extraction directly into the EPUB conversion workflow. This approach automated the ingestion pipeline, reducing manual intervention and ensuring consistent, repeatable EPUB outputs. The work focused on data processing and file handling, wiring end-to-end ZIP content extraction into the publishing process. By addressing ZIP normalization and automating conversion, the changes shortened publishing cycles and enabled bulk EPUB packaging, improving reliability and efficiency for content release workflows within the project.
