In August 2025, Tangletail expanded VOREStation’s atmospheric and suit systems by developing the Advanced Hardsuit System and Atmospheric Module Expansion. This work introduced new hardsuit modules with thermal and graviton vision modes, enhanced atmospheric and Faraday shielding, and a Volume Pump device, all integrated through updated research nodes and multitool-supported operations. Using DM and C++ for backend development and configuration management, Tangletail also resolved a configuration bug in the Atmospheric Protection Suite, ensuring correct module printing and accurate power draw descriptions. The updates improved system reliability, safety, and scalability, supporting more efficient scientific workflows and maintainability across the station.
In August 2025, the team delivered a major expansion of VOREStation's atmospheric and suit capabilities, alongside a critical bug fix to improve reliability. The Advanced Hardsuit System and Atmospheric Module Expansion introduces new hardsuit modules with expanded science research paths, offering vision modes (thermal and graviton), enhanced protection modules (atmospheric and Faraday shielding), a Volume Pump atmospheric device, and improved control interfaces for atmospheric machinery, plus constructible gas sensors. The update includes updated research nodes to unlock advanced components and multitool-supported operations, enabling more efficient field work and experimentation. A configuration bug in the Atmospheric Protection Suite was fixed, correcting an incorrect entry that caused Advanced A.P.S. to print the standard A.P.S., updating the description to reflect reduced power draw, and correcting the build path to reference the advanced module. Overall, these changes improve safety, efficiency, and scalability of atmospheric systems, reduce maintenance friction, and support ongoing scientific development across the station.
