During April 2026, Moreira worked on the thunderbird/thunderbird-l10n repository, focusing on centralizing localization for the Account Hub. They migrated all Account Setup UI strings from accountSetup.ftl to accountHub.ftl, establishing a single source of truth for translations and improving the user experience during onboarding. This front end development effort, using FTL for localization, aimed to reduce translation drift and streamline future updates. Moreira validated the changes within the localization pipeline to prevent regressions in locale assets. The work aligned with first-time-use experience goals, supporting consistent and maintainable onboarding screens while simplifying workflows for translators and maintainers.
