Kenji Morimoto engineered and maintained core infrastructure for the cybozu/neco-containers repository, focusing on Kubernetes platform upgrades, dependency management, and secure container build systems. Over five months, Kenji delivered features such as a Kubernetes 1.33 rollout, DNS and data-store modernization, and a major admission deployment, using Go, Docker, and YAML to ensure compatibility and stability. His work included upgrading toolchains, synchronizing cross-file versions, and updating observability tooling, which improved deployment reliability and reduced upgrade risk. Kenji’s technical approach emphasized proactive maintenance, version control, and seamless integration, resulting in a robust, maintainable container platform ready for future enhancements.
December 2025: Completed a comprehensive Kubernetes 1.33 upgrade across cybozu/neco-containers, upgrading core components to Kubernetes 1.33.7 and aligning dependent images (bmc-reverse-proxy, machines-endpoints, pause). Executed DNS and data-store modernization (CoreDNS updated to 1.32.2, etcd to 3.6.7, unbound 1.24.2, unbound_exporter 0.5.0). Upgraded metrics and observability tooling (kube-state-metrics 2.17.0, kube-metrics-adapter 0.2.6). Implemented compatibility tweaks to maintain cluster health and a smooth rollout. This work yields higher reliability, improved DNS/data-store stability, and enhanced monitoring for proactive issue detection, supporting improved uptime and faster incident response.
