During September 2025, work centered on enhancing the vespa-engine/docker-image-dev repository by integrating Kubernetes Helm into AlmaLinux-based Docker images. This involved implementing build-time support for Helm installation using shell scripting and bash, ensuring that Helm was available as a dependency for Kubernetes package management in both almalinux-8 and almalinux-9 images. The approach included adding the get_helm.sh script and embedding Helm installation directly into the image creation process, resulting in reproducible builds and improved deployment readiness. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts focused on advancing DevOps automation and cloud-native operability through Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
