Worked on the influxdata/telegraf repository to enhance observability for the InfluxDB v2 listener by developing a dedicated ping endpoint. This endpoint surfaces health check information and reports the InfluxDB version, supporting improved reliability and deployment confidence. The implementation included tracking the number of ping requests served, enabling more granular monitoring and capacity planning. Leveraging Go for backend and API development, the work focused on exposing critical health and version data through a simple interface. These changes addressed operational needs by making it easier to monitor service health and respond to incidents, contributing to more robust infrastructure management practices.
