Worked on enhancing accessibility in the Esri/calcite-design-system repository by implementing high-contrast styles for the meter component. Focused on ensuring the meter fill remained visible when users enabled forced-colors mode, directly supporting those who rely on high-contrast accessibility settings. Used CSS, specifically the forced-colors media query, and SCSS to adjust component styling in alignment with WCAG guidelines. The work involved a targeted commit that improved the usability of a core design system component for a broader audience. Demonstrated an accessibility-first approach and maintained clear git commit practices throughout the development process, contributing one feature during the documented period.
