During April 2025, Mayur Sankpal developed a Certificate Management Playbook for the IBM/ansible-storage-protect repository, focusing on automating certificate generation and distribution for IBM Storage Protect servers. Leveraging Ansible, Shell scripting, and YAML, he designed a solution that centralized certificate lifecycle management, reducing manual intervention and minimizing the risk of human error. The playbook streamlined secure certificate deployment, directly enhancing the security posture of managed servers. Throughout the rollout, Mayur maintained operational stability, with no major bugs reported. His work demonstrated a focused application of DevOps principles, delivering a targeted automation feature that addressed both security and operational efficiency needs.
