During November 2025, Dardani Mehdi focused on improving data pipeline reliability in the apache/beam repository by addressing a bug in Iceberg-Trino partition metadata handling. He enhanced the correctness of time-based partitioning by switching month calculations to Java’s ChronoUnit, ensuring more accurate partition metadata when writing Iceberg tables via IcebergIO. Dardani also updated integration test configurations, including IO_Iceberg_Integration_Tests.json, to stabilize and strengthen Iceberg IO validation. His work in Java and JSON emphasized robust testing and data engineering practices, reducing test flakiness and the risk of inaccurate analytics.
