Worked on the circleci/ex repository to streamline configuration management following the decommissioning of a Backstage service. Focused on removing the obsolete catalog-info.yaml file, the effort targeted reducing configuration drift and future maintenance overhead without introducing any user-facing changes or impacting runtime behavior. Leveraged YAML and Git for precise configuration cleanup, ensuring the repository accurately reflected the current architecture. The approach emphasized clear documentation and commit practices to support future decommissioning tasks and facilitate easier repository audits. This work contributed to improved maintainability and alignment between infrastructure and codebase, demonstrating attention to detail in managing configuration artifacts and technical debt.
