Implemented core data models for orders and order items, cart flow with total calculation, address handling, stock updates, and cart clearing, plus API routes for retrieving order details and updating status. Rolled out RBAC with roles/permissions models, data seeding, user-model integration, and updated authentication/authorization middleware to enforce access controls. A middleware fix for admin/auth issues was included in this RBAC rollout. These changes improve checkout reliability, inventory accuracy, governance, and security, unlocking faster order processing and better compliance. Technologies demonstrated include backend design, relational data modeling, API route design, middleware security, data seeding, and access-control architecture.
