Worked on refining the development workflow in the UK-Export-Finance/dtfs2 repository by optimizing Git commit hooks to improve efficiency. Focused on modifying existing commit-time checks so that they executed only on staged files, this approach reduced unnecessary validation steps and streamlined the commit process for developers. Leveraged DevOps practices and Git Hooks, implementing the solution using Shell scripting to ensure compatibility and maintainability within the existing infrastructure. The work addressed the need for faster, more reliable commits by minimizing overhead, resulting in a more efficient development cycle. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery.
