During January 2025, Mudler standardized the Jetson Docker base image for the kairos-io/kairos repository, consolidating Dockerfile.kairos-ubuntu and Dockerfile.ubuntu into a single, generic base image. This work leveraged containerization and DevOps skills, specifically focusing on Dockerfile best practices to reduce configuration drift and improve maintainability across Jetson AGX Orin deployments. By unifying the base image, Mudler enhanced build reproducibility and streamlined future updates, resulting in more reliable CI processes and faster onboarding for new deployments. The depth of the work addressed long-term maintainability and operational consistency, though no major bugs were identified or fixed during this period.
