Worked on the utilitywarehouse/kafka-cluster-config repository to implement comprehensive data retention policy enforcement across Kafka topics, Google Cloud Storage, and S3 backups. Leveraging Terraform and infrastructure as code principles, the developer introduced automated lifecycle rules for S3 backups and configured a seven-year retention window to align with compliance requirements. This approach improved data governance and auditability while reducing long-term storage costs, particularly by optimizing GCS retention settings.
