Worked on the novuhq/novu repository to deliver a self-hosted API deployment feature, addressing customer requirements for on-premises solutions. Implemented environment-based configuration by introducing the IS_SELF_HOSTED environment variable within the community docker-compose file, allowing the API service to support self-hosted deployments. This approach enhanced deployment flexibility and enabled organizations to meet security and compliance needs more effectively. The work involved validating integration with existing deployment workflows to ensure seamless adoption. Leveraged DevOps practices and Docker for container orchestration, utilizing YAML for configuration management. The contribution focused on expanding deployment options without introducing new bugs during the development period.
