During September 2025, s210201096@stu.cqupt.edu.cn developed multi-hardware runtime support for the comfyanonymous/ComfyUI repository, enabling the application to run on both Ascend NPUs and CUDA devices. By leveraging Python and backend development skills, they introduced environment configuration via ASCEND_RT_VISIBLE_DEVICES and a new --cuda-device parameter, allowing concurrent use of CUDA and Ascend hardware. This work focused on cross-vendor runtime integration and hardware acceleration, broadening deployment options for teams with mixed hardware environments. The feature reduced onboarding friction for users with Ascend infrastructure, demonstrating a solid understanding of full stack development and the complexities of hardware compatibility in production systems.
