In July 2025, Matthijs Wolting enhanced the linear/linear repository by implementing a new GraphQL client fetch strategy that prioritizes the use of the global fetch API when available. This approach leverages native fetch capabilities to improve performance and ensure consistent behavior across different environments. Working primarily with TypeScript and JavaScript, Matthijs focused on API integration and full stack development, standardizing the client’s fetch mechanism and documenting the changes for future governance. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the work laid a solid foundation for environment parity and future optimizations, reflecting thoughtful engineering depth within a short timeframe.
