Contributed a targeted UI/UX enhancement to the chakra-ui/zag repository by refining the Color Picker component. Focused on preserving the vertical slider orientation during pointer updates, the work improved color selection accuracy and consistency across devices. The technical approach involved updating event handling logic to prioritize pointer orientation when adjusting color channels, ensuring reliable behavior regardless of input method. Documentation and changesets were updated to guide users through the upgrade. This feature was developed using TypeScript, with an emphasis on front end development and state management, and included collaborative efforts as evidenced by co-authored commits within the project’s workflow.
