Worked on moltbot/moltbot to enhance the reliability of gateway restarts during in-place upgrades, focusing on backend development with Node.js and TypeScript. Addressed a critical bug by restructuring the startup sequence to eagerly load the lifecycle runtime, ensuring the complete runtime graph was available before initializing signal listeners. This approach prevented deadlocks and improved upgrade resilience by enabling fast-fail behavior when essential modules were missing. Defensive error handling was implemented for transient failures in SIGUSR1 restart listeners, capturing asynchronous rejections to maintain restart scheduling reliability. Documentation was updated to reflect these lifecycle improvements, demonstrating collaborative development and attention to operational robustness.
