Worked on restoring and stabilizing data pathways between Darwin and cBioPortal, focusing on backend reliability and data integrity. Addressed a broken data link by reintroducing the Darwin-to-cBio API endpoint and updating the exists endpoint within the cbioportal repository, ensuring that Darwin was properly included in endpoint checks. This backend development effort, implemented in Java, prevented outages for downstream analytics consumers after the decommissioning of the cBio-to-DDP link. The work emphasized API development best practices and repository alignment to maintain compatibility and future maintainability, with all changes tracked and documented for transparency and ongoing support within the project ecosystem.
