Worked on the SCE-Development/Clark repository to address a critical authentication issue affecting user session persistence. Focused on both backend integration and frontend development using JavaScript, the work involved correcting the extraction and storage of JWT tokens in localStorage to ensure secure and reliable authentication. The User model was updated to include a default background color, supporting a more consistent user experience. By refining the authentication flow, the changes enabled persistent user sessions across browser reloads and reduced login-related disruptions. The engineering effort centered on improving security and reliability, with all updates delivered through commit-based workflows for traceability.
