Worked on enhancing the sst/opencode repository by implementing region-aware Amazon Bedrock model prefix prioritization, enabling the system to select model prefixes based on both regional and global availability. This approach improved compatibility and performance for users across different regions by optimizing how models are chosen within the opencode package. Addressed a critical bug in the amazon-bedrock provider’s getSmallModel function, ensuring correct prefix selection and laying the foundation for broader multi-region support. The work relied on TypeScript for backend development and API integration, demonstrating a focus on scalable architecture and robust handling of region-specific requirements within cloud-based model selection workflows.
