Worked on the google/adk-go repository to deliver targeted backend improvements using Go, focusing on both feature development and reliability enhancements. Built full Citation Metadata support by adding converters and updating metadata handling logic, ensuring accurate processing and management of citation information. Enhanced test coverage to validate these changes and prevent regressions. Addressed reliability in A2A execution by fixing cleanup callback invocation and introducing a default client factory, which stabilized resource management and reduced race conditions. Emphasized robust API development and backend testing practices, resulting in more maintainable code and improved task lifecycle guarantees for downstream features and background processing.
