During April 2025, Nami Ltd focused on maintaining kernel compatibility within the openwrt/packages repository by updating xtables-addons to version 3.27. This work addressed a kernel 6.12 compatibility issue, ensuring that the package remained stable and upgrade-ready for users on newer Linux kernels. Nami applied skills in build system management and package management, using Makefile to update package metadata, including the version and source tarball hash. The targeted change preserved the integrity of the OpenWrt packaging workflow while minimizing risk. The depth of the work lay in its careful alignment with upstream kernel changes, supporting long-term system stability.
