
Worked on the linkedin/venice repository to deliver two core backend features over two months, focusing on reliability and observability. Upgraded the Zstandard JNI library to version 1.5.6-8, refactored Java tests to align with updated exception handling, and improved native-Java integration, which reduced test flakiness and enhanced maintainability. Later, integrated OpenTelemetry metrics into the Venice Router, enabling collection of request size, response size, and key size metrics for improved performance monitoring and SLA tracking. Leveraged Java, OpenTelemetry, and testing best practices to ensure accurate metric reporting and robust library management, addressing both cross-language stability and operational visibility.
