During August 2025, Nasa Bassclarinet focused on stabilizing Kotlin language server integration within Emacs by addressing a critical configuration issue in the kotlin-lsp repository. Working with Emacs Lisp and leveraging expertise in Emacs configuration and the Language Server Protocol, Nasa identified and corrected a longstanding bug where the lsp-mode configuration used an incorrect option, changing --port to --socket. This targeted fix restored reliable LSP functionality for Kotlin developers using Emacs, enabling accurate diagnostics and code navigation. The work demonstrated careful debugging and a deep understanding of editor integration, resulting in a smoother development experience for the Kotlin Emacs community.
