Worked on the storybookjs/storybook repository to enhance migration tooling reliability and configuration integrity for projects transitioning from @storybook/nextjs to @storybook/nextjs-vite. Addressed a critical issue by refining the regular expression logic in the migration scripts, ensuring that only bare @storybook/nextjs references were rewritten and preventing accidental corruption of configurations when both packages were present. This fix improved the stability of automated migrations, reduced upgrade risks for users adopting Next.js with Vite, and maintained compatibility for projects with mixed installations. Utilized TypeScript for implementation, applying full stack development and testing skills to deliver a robust and maintainable solution.
