Worked on the hypermodeinc/dgraph repository to enhance backend reliability and cross-platform stability, focusing on a critical bug affecting IBM s390x architecture. Addressed a disk metrics datatype handling issue by introducing explicit type conversions for key fields, ensuring consistent arithmetic and resolving a compile-time mismatch. Validated the solution across s390x, x86_64, and ARM64 architectures, confirming successful builds and functional CRUD operations post-fix. Emphasized maintainability by adhering to Conventional Commits and rigorous local linting and testing. Utilized Go for backend development, prioritizing cross-platform compatibility and reducing architecture-specific build risks while preserving existing functionality without introducing new user-facing features.
