Worked on enhancing AWS SigV4 authentication within the curl/curl repository, focusing on improving the reliability and debuggability of AWS API requests. The approach involved refining URL encoding and canonicalization for query parameters, as well as path normalization, to ensure accurate signature generation. Added verbose logging around the signing process to facilitate troubleshooting and support ongoing reliability goals. All changes were implemented in C, leveraging skills in API development, AWS integration, and unit testing. The work improved interoperability and reduced signature-related failures, with clear commit traceability to support maintainability and future debugging efforts within the codebase. No bugs were reported.
