Worked on enhancing the user experience for the ArduPilot/MethodicConfigurator by addressing tooltip behavior issues specific to macOS. Focused on stabilizing tooltips through the introduction of show and hide delays, as well as enforcing a singleton active tooltip state to minimize flicker and erratic display. This targeted UX improvement was implemented using Python and front end development skills, with careful attention to UI/UX design principles. The changes improved cross-platform consistency and reliability, making the configurator more usable for macOS users. All modifications were delivered in a dedicated commit, ensuring clear traceability and maintainability within the project’s codebase.
