Worked on the videolan/vlc repository to enhance the A-B loop user experience within the Qt-based control bar. Focused on UI/UX design and front end development using QML and Qt, the developer introduced a tooltip to provide clearer guidance for configuring A-B loops and improved visual feedback to indicate loop state. Addressed inconsistencies in idle A-B loop colors, ensuring users could more easily interpret the current status. These changes aligned with VLC’s broader UI modernization efforts, resulting in a more intuitive and polished playback experience. The work emphasized clarity, discoverability, and user guidance without introducing new bugs or regressions.
