During November 2024, Nedvedba overhauled the installation and environment setup documentation for the ORNL/DataFed repository, focusing on improving clarity and reducing onboarding friction. By consolidating user-facing guidance and removing redundant development environment instructions, Nedvedba streamlined the setup process for both Docker and bare-metal deployments. The work included reorganizing installation steps, updating administrator documentation, and ensuring all changes were accurately reflected in the project changelog. Utilizing Markdown and reStructuredText, Nedvedba applied strong documentation and system administration skills, maintaining clear version control across four commits. This effort resulted in faster onboarding, fewer installation issues, and improved maintainability for DataFed users.
