Contributed to the StarRocks/starrocks repository by delivering an enhancement that exposes the last refresh time of materialized views, improving operational transparency for users managing MV workloads. The feature was implemented by updating the information schema and SHOW MATERIALIZED VIEWS command to display the last refresh timestamp, allowing users to monitor materialized view updates directly. This work involved C++ and SQL development, with a focus on database management and metadata accuracy. Collaboration with other team members ensured the enhancement integrated smoothly into the existing codebase, ultimately supporting better observability and more informed decision-making for database administrators and developers using StarRocks.
