Worked on the NVIDIA/linux-firmware repository to enhance the stability and reliability of the deduplication workflow by addressing a critical bug in the dedup-firmware.sh script. Focused on Shell scripting and bug fixing, the work involved resolving an infinite loop that occurred when the script was run in verbose mode by introducing a missing 'shift' statement after processing command-line flags. This targeted fix improved argument handling and ensured the script advanced parameters correctly, reducing the risk of hangs during firmware packaging. The contribution resulted in more predictable script behavior, supporting smoother deployment and maintenance of firmware within the existing workflow.
