During December 2025, Angelos Neo worked on release automation and cluster reliability for Kubernetes and Rancher’s RKE2 provider. In the kubernetes/kubernetes repository, he implemented release publishing rules for version 1.35 and updated etcd compatibility to support new version skews and rotation handling, using Go and YAML to ensure robust CI/CD workflows. In rancher/cluster-api-provider-rke2, he enforced correct cluster topology by introducing service masking and refining cloud-init scripts, improving multi-node deployment reliability. He also removed obsolete tests to maintain code quality. His work demonstrated depth in backend development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure, directly reducing release risk and improving upgrade stability.
