December 2024: Focused on increasing reliability of JAX-WS exception handling through test coverage in OpenLiberty. Implemented a test scaffold that adds a new service endpoint and a JAX-WS interceptor designed to throw UserNotFoundException to validate exception flow. While the test scaffolding advances quality assurance and code review readiness, a Non-ClassDefFoundError (NCDFE) blocker prevents the test from passing, requiring further investigation. All changes are tracked in OpenLiberty/open-liberty; initial test commit captured here.

November 2024 summary: Delivered stability improvements for the FAT test suite and ensured cross-version compatibility for SAML Web SSO across EE9/EE10 and EE8 feature enablement. Boosted test reliability by increasing JAX-WS test timeouts in config tests and consolidating repeat actions. Achieved these results through code-review-driven refinements across four commits, enhancing end-to-end test reliability and cross-version support. Business impact: reduced flaky test runs, faster feedback for releases, and safer deployments of SAML-related functionality. Technologies/skills demonstrated include Java, SAML, JAX-WS, test automation, and EE version compatibility within OpenLiberty Open Liberty projects.
