In January 2025, Insolens developed a targeted security enhancement for the projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates repository by creating a vulnerability detection template for CVE-2024-50603 affecting the Aviatrix Controller. Leveraging expertise in security testing, vulnerability research, and YAML, Insolens authored a template that includes detailed vulnerability information, severity ratings, and a proof-of-concept HTTP request to test for remote code execution. The work incorporated CVSS and CWE classifications, enabling automated detection and streamlined triage within security scans. This contribution deepened the repository’s CVE coverage and provided actionable, testable data to support rapid validation and remediation efforts in automated security workflows.
