Contributed a targeted security enhancement to the projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates repository by developing a vulnerability detection template for CVE-2024-50603 affecting Aviatrix Controller. This work involved researching the vulnerability, documenting its severity, and implementing a YAML-based template that includes a proof-of-concept HTTP request to test for remote code execution. By integrating CVSS and CWE classifications, the contribution improved the repository’s automated detection and triage capabilities. The approach focused on security testing and vulnerability research, enabling faster validation and remediation for users. The update expanded CVE coverage within nuclei-templates, strengthening security automation and supporting more comprehensive vulnerability scanning workflows.
