Worked on the analogdevicesinc/linux repository to enhance stability and correctness within the network subsystem, focusing on device driver and kernel development using C. Addressed two critical bugs rather than introducing new features, prioritizing reliability and hardware compatibility. The first fix resolved an unbalanced IRQ wake disable warning in the stmmac driver by aligning variable initialization across single and multi-IRQ paths. The second corrected the Wake-on-LAN logic in the dwmac-mediatek driver, ensuring proper adherence to the mediatek,mac-wol binding. All changes were tracked with explicit commits, supporting traceability and facilitating future audits, with a strong emphasis on networking and power management.
