Worked on the Sage/carbon repository to enhance internationalization and localization for end users. Delivered Portuguese language support by adding new locale files and updating the locale selector, enabling seamless switching for Portuguese-speaking users. Addressed a localization issue in the French (France) switch component by correcting the off-state label, improving clarity and aligning with i18n standards. Focused on front end development using React and TypeScript, with careful attention to isolated, low-risk patches and clear documentation. Collaborated with i18n QA to ensure accuracy and accessibility, resulting in improved user experience and readiness for release across multiple supported languages.
