Developed authentication monitoring for Proxmox Backup Server within the crowdsecurity/hub repository, focusing on proactive security measures. Built a dedicated log parser in Python to process PBS API authentication events, enabling detection of both successful and failed login attempts. Implemented a brute-force detection scenario that identifies potential credential abuse by triggering on multiple failed logins within a short timeframe. Ensured reliability through comprehensive end-to-end hubtests covering both the parser and detection logic. Delivered a deployment-ready collection with clear documentation in Markdown and YAML, streamlining onboarding and operational use. Addressed configuration and test stability to improve overall robustness of the monitoring solution.
