Worked on the bytedance/deer-flow repository to deliver integration of the Searx and SearxNG search engines, enabling configurable information retrieval options for the platform. The implementation introduced a SEARX_HOST environment variable and updated both runtime configuration and documentation to support the new search engine choices. Leveraging Python and full stack development skills, the work included integrating LangChain-specific wrappers and classes to facilitate seamless Searx usage within the backend. This feature enhanced the system’s extensibility and adaptability for future search requirements, focusing on robust API integration and backend development practices while ensuring clear documentation and maintainable configuration for ongoing project needs.
