Nik developed an automated welcome email feature for the noQ-sweden/noq_backend_python repository, streamlining the onboarding process for new users. Using Python and Django, Nik implemented a send_email function and integrated Django’s email backend with a placeholder SMTP configuration. This approach enabled the system to automatically send welcome emails upon user registration, reducing manual intervention and improving user experience. The work focused on backend development and email integration, leveraging Django’s built-in capabilities to ensure maintainability and scalability. Over the course of the month, Nik delivered a single, well-scoped feature, demonstrating depth in backend workflow automation and practical application of email systems.
