Developed an automated welcome email feature for the noQ-sweden/noq_backend_python repository, streamlining the onboarding process for new users. The work involved implementing a send_email function and integrating Django’s email backend with a placeholder SMTP server, allowing the system to automatically send welcome messages upon user registration. This backend development effort, using Python and Django, eliminated the need for manual onboarding emails and improved the registration workflow. The solution focused on email integration within the existing backend infrastructure, ensuring that new users receive timely communication. Over the course of one month, the work delivered a targeted feature without addressing bug fixes.
