Worked on the microsoft/vscode repository to enhance Markdown rendering accuracy, focusing on KaTeX support for mathematical expressions. Addressed an edge case where dollar signs within jQuery expressions were incorrectly interpreted as math delimiters, refining the regular expression logic in TypeScript to prevent false positives. Improved test coverage by implementing targeted regression tests and updating test snapshots to ensure correct rendering behavior. Additionally, contributed to code quality by cleaning up unnecessary lines for better readability. Leveraged JavaScript and TypeScript skills in front end development and testing, delivering more reliable Markdown editing and documentation experiences while supporting maintainability and future enhancements.
