Developed automated project discovery tooling for the NA-MIC/ProjectWeek repository, focusing on the PW45 2026 Boston event. Built a Python script that parses project README files to extract titles, descriptions, and images, generating a formatted Markdown directory with embedded links and images to enhance project discoverability and coordination. Extended the tool to include lead investigator names, affiliations, and team indicators, supporting richer metadata for event participants. Applied regular expressions and data extraction techniques to standardize investigator affiliations across multiple READMEs, improving data quality for downstream analytics. The work emphasized automation, documentation, and consistent metadata management within collaborative research environments.
