This TypeScript-based addition enables retrieval of input and output slot positions within graph nodes, streamlining layout and visualization tasks for frontend engineers. By exposing this API, Niknah reduced the need for manual UI adjustments and laid the groundwork for improved user and developer experiences in Node v2. The work concentrated on expanding the frontend API surface, leveraging TypeScript and frontend development skills, and provided a foundation for future enhancements in automatic graph layout and onboarding processes.
