Niko Kajula contributed to the rust-lang/rust repository by improving the reliability of external documentation links within the codebase. Focusing on documentation hygiene, Niko identified and fixed outdated AMD Developer’s Manual links, ensuring they now direct users to current resources. Additionally, Niko updated Intel manual references to use HTTPS, enhancing both security and long-term accessibility. This work, carried out using Rust and documentation best practices, reduced the risk of broken links and improved the overall developer experience. While the scope was limited to a single bug fix over one month, the changes addressed a tangible pain point for users and maintainers.
