Worked on the apache/gravitino repository to enhance build reliability and backend resilience for the Gravitino Iceberg integration. Developed a clean distribution package task using Gradle and Kotlin, which purges stale outputs and subproject jars before new artifacts are copied, ensuring deterministic builds and preventing version conflicts. Introduced configurable HTTP timeout settings for the Iceberg REST catalog backend, allowing dynamic adjustment of connection and socket timeouts through property mappings and Docker environment variables. Validated these improvements with targeted tests and dry-runs, reducing build flakiness and improving operational stability for deployment pipelines and operator configurations using Java and REST APIs.
