Niya Nixon developed a new Company Reviews API endpoint for the Resilient-Labs/kinfolx repository, enabling retrieval of all reviews for a company and supporting feed-based display in the application. She focused on backend development using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, refactoring the codebase by removing an unused company controller and enhancing the review controller with a getAllCompanyReviews method. This work established a robust data path for future analytics and personalized experiences, improving maintainability and clarity in the backend. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, Niya’s contributions provided a solid foundation for scalable REST API integrations and user experience improvements.
