Month: 2026-01. Focused on stabilizing the ACP session experience, improving event routing and audience mapping, and hardening asynchronous cleanup. Key outcomes include unified ACP session lifecycle with a single global event subscription and sessionID-based routing, persisted/restored user model/agent settings across sessions, audience mapping support for synthetic and ignore roles, and fixes to ensure session cleanup is awaited to prevent race conditions. These changes reduce user churn, improve UX continuity, and reinforce data integrity across sessions, delivering measurable business value in user engagement and reliability.

December 2025: anomalyco/opencode delivered telemetry and stability improvements. Implemented an experimental OpenTelemetry configuration option (openTelemetry) to emit OTEL spans for AI SDK calls and integrated spans into agent and session processing to improve observability. Also fixed snapshot persistence so sessions are saved even if the finish-step is not reached by creating/updating a patch in the session when a snapshot exists and contains files, preventing state loss. These changes increase data reliability, observability, and diagnostic capability for production AI workloads.
